There are various financial assistance scheme that are sponsored by central as well as State Governments.The schemes sponsored by the central Government are:

  1. Indira Gandhi National old age pension Scheme(IGNOAPS)
  2. The Scheme benefits beneficiaries of senior citizens Who are at least 65 years of age.

    Eligibility =

    — Age 65 Years min.
    — His/Her Family should be included in BPL list 2002-2007

    Document Required =

    — Age Certificates
    — Certificate of Gramsevak – being a family in BPL list 2002-2007

  3. Indira Gandhi National Widow pension Scheme (IGNWPS)
  4. The Scheme benefits beneficiaries of Widow Women who are at least 40 years of age.

    Eligibility =

    — Age 40 to 65 Years.
    — Her Family should be included in BPL list 2002-2007

    Document Required =

    — Age Certificates.
    — Certificate of Gramsevak – being a family in BPL list 2002-2007.
    — Husband Death Certificate.

  5. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS)
  6. The Scheme benefits beneficiaries of Disabled person who are at least 18 years of age.

    Eligibility =

    — Age 18 to 65 Years.
    — His/her Family should be included in BPL list 2002-2007

    Document Required =

    — Age Certificates
    — Certificate of Gramsevak – being a family in BPL list 2002-2007

  7. National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS)
  8. Under this scheme on the death of the primary breadwinner in the family [accidentally or naturally ] the family gets financial assistance of Rs.20,000/-

    Eligibility –

    — Age 18 to 59
    — His/Her Family should be in BPL List.
    — Deceased should be primary breadwinner his/her earning contribute the largest proportion to the total household income.

    Documents Required –

    — Age Certificate of the deceased
    — Death Certificate
    — Certificate issued by Talathi / Gramsevak Certifying deceased was Earning Head of the Family.
    — Income Certificate issued by Talathi / Gramsevak and countersigned by Tahsildar.

  9. Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana
  10. Under this scheme on the death of the primary landless breadwinner from rural area or a member applied in the bereaved family the family gets financial assistance/insurance of Rs.30,000/- if he/she dies naturally and Rs.75,000/- if he/she dies accidentally or The insured member will get insurance of Rs.75,000/- if he/she lost both the eyes/legs permanently disable or Rs.37,000/- if he/she lost one eye/leg. In addition, there is provision of scholarship for student of insured family studying between 9 to 12 standard. The landless family of the rural area has to fill up a form in schedule “ c “ and also has to apply for scholarship inform in schedule “D”.

    Eligibility

    — Should be rural landless labour (should not have any agricultural land)
    — Age should be 18 to 59 years.

    Document Required

    — Any age proof viz. Certificate of age issued by medical officer, age in electoral roll, school leaving certificate.
    — Landless remark by Talathi on schedule “C”.

The schemes sponsored by the State Government are.

  1. Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojna
  2. (Sanjay Gandhi scheme for assistance to helpless/economically weaker)

    It is beneficiary to people who are helpless, Mentaly retarded, Phisically Handicapped, Suffering from chronic disease like cancer, leprosy etc. Orphan boy unable to earn. This scheme also benefits helpless widows avail the benefits of this scheme the person.

    Eligibility-

    — should be resident of Maharashtra for atleast 15 years.
    — should not have permanent income source.
    — Age should be below 65 years.
    — should not be begger or resides in Institute run by or getting funds by Govt. / Charitable trust.
    To get the benefit of this scheme the application forms are available in Governments offices. The prescribed application should be accomplished by-

    Document Required-

    — Certificate of age issued by medical officer.
    — Residential Certificate issued by Talathi.
    — Income Certificate issued by Talathi.

  3. Shrawanbal Seva Yojna
  4. The scheme benefits beneficiaries of helpless senior citizens who are at least 65 years of age.

    Eligibility –

    — should be resident of Maharashtra for atleast 15 years
    — should not have permanent income source.
    — Age should be below 65 years.
    — should not be beggar or resides in institute run by or getting funds, by Gove. / Charitable trust.

    Document Required –

    — Age Certificate
    — Certificate of Talathi about being a helpless.
